Give a Gift to Frogs, Lizards,
and Snakes this Holiday Season

Dear ~first_name~,

Reptile and Amphibian Ecology International is hard at work discovering, documenting, and saving rare and endangered animals in imperiled ecosystems. With help from people like you, we have recorded and photographed over 4,000 animals on our study sites in Ecuador. Even more impressively, we have found at least 15, and as many as 25 species completely new to science! We are also working hard to understand why these species seem to be disappearing right before our very eyes, and what we can do to stop the extinction epidemic in these rare ecosystems.

With your help, we can continue our work in 2009 to complete these important goals:

• Describe our new species, giving them scientific names, so that, if needed, they can be protected as endangered

• Analyze our data so that we can make better land preservation recommendations to governments and non-governmental organizations to save ecosystems

• Continue our research programs to find more animals and species

• Continue training of our students, interns, volunteers, and Ecuadorian collaborators
